Becca Schultz
Becca Schultz is a pianist, composer, entrepreneur, and visual artist. She founded Vesper School of Music in Portland, Oregon in 2013.
Originally from the Chicago area, Becca moved to Portland in 2007 to explore the music culture and complete her Bachelors of Music degree from Portland State University. She has played with a number of Portland bands over the years. For several years Becca toured internationally with choral folk-rock band Ages and Ages. As a solo performer, Becca has accompanied vocalists, dancers, musical theater and instrumentalists. Since 2013 she has been an active performing artist with the non-profit Piano. Push. Play.
In December 2012 Becca released Terrain, her debut solo record of original piano compositions. Her piano and keyboard playing has been featured on a number of studio recordings accompanying other artists as well.
Becca's second album Prisma was released summer 2019. In contrast to Terrain, Prisma is spacious, cinematic, synth-focused & experimental. Rich textures and melodies co-exist with ambient noise in an immersive sound experience that speaks deeply of personal emotional reflections. Prisma was released alongside a book of piano sheet music which is available to purchase here.
